Multi-talented performer Tara Macri has released her infectious new pop single “This Crush,” a summer anthem that captures the universal feeling of having a crush and the excitement that comes with it.
Co-written by Macri alongside accomplished artists Andrea England and Eric Nicolau, “This Crush” showcases Macri’s vibrant vocals and relatable songwriting. The track follows the success of her previous single “Prettiest Girl in The Room,” which broke into the top 100 on Hot AC charts earlier this year.
“‘This Crush’ is all about that flutter in your stomach and the rush of emotions we’ve all experienced when falling for someone,” says Macri. “I wanted to create something that resonates with listeners of all ages who have ever felt that special connection with someone.”
Macri brings a wealth of performance experience to her music career. The Canadian-born artist has starred in several Broadway productions including “Hairspray,” “Jersey Boys,” and “First Wives Club.” Her crossover talent recently extended to film with her role in “Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Scrolls,” a prequel to the popular animated franchise.
Her songwriting partners bring impressive credentials to the collaboration. Andrea England is a renowned Canadian singer-songwriter whose original compositions have been featured on television shows such as “Joan of Arcadia” and “Dawson’s Creek.” Eric Nicolau, an accomplished guitarist and vocalist, served as musical director for platinum award-winning artist Bridgit Mendler.
